Congratulations to Candy WAGAHOFF Dale

With great pride the law firm of Hall, Farley, Oberrecht & Blanton, P.A. announces the selection for appointment of Candy Wagahoff Dale, shareholder and one of the founders of our firm, as one of the two new United States Magistrate Judges for the District of Idaho. 

Candy will leave private practice and take the bench on March 31, 2008.  We congratulate Candy for this high honor, knowing she will serve with great dignity, intelligence and fairness.  We share this wonderful honor as colleagues and friends of Candy and wish her the best in her service to the people of Idaho and our Federal Judiciary.

We plan to transition Candy’s practice to our other shareholders who practice in employment law, J. Kevin West and Keely E. Duke, with support and assistance from our experienced employment law associates, Karen O. Sheehan and Sarah Arnett.

We are pleased to announce that Keely E. Duke has become a shareholder of the firm. Ms. Duke has been with the firm since 1999. Her practice emphasizes insurance defense and commercial litigation with special emphasis in the areas of medical malpractice defense, product liability, legal malpractice defense, and construction litigation. Ms. Duke also represents a number of businesses in a variety of legal matters including business formation, contract development, and counseling on legal and employment issues.

Hall Farley is Committed to Excellence in Legal Education

In support of excellence in legal education in Idaho, Hall Farley recently created the Hall Farley Oberrecht & Blanton Legal Scholarship at the University of Idaho College of Law. The scholarship covers tuition and fees for a law student during their three years of legal education at the College. The student receiving the scholarship award is considered the “Hall Farley Scholar.”

The Hall Farley Scholar for 2005-2007 is Lindsey Simon, from Boise, ID. Ms. Simon received her B.S. in Biochemistry while attending Walla Walla College. During her undergraduate schooling she worked as a research assistant at the Walla Walla College Department of Biological Sciences. She is currently in her first year at the College of Law.
