Colleen D. Zahn

Colleen D. Zahn joined the firm as a senior associate in June 2008. She received her B.S. degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations, cum laude, from the University of Idaho in 1995. Ms. Zahn received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Idaho in 2000. While in law school, Ms. Zahn was a member of her law school’s mock trial team, which was ranked seventh in the nation. While an undergraduate, Ms. Zahn was also a member of the honors society Phi Beta Kappa.

Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Zahn spent a year clerking for the Honorable Ronald J. Wilper, a Fourth District Judge chambered in Ada County. Ms. Zahn spent the next year clerking for the Honorable Darrel R. Perry of the Idaho Court of Appeals. Following her clerkships, Ms. Zahn spent over five years as an associate with a local law firm, where her practice focused on general business litigation, real estate litigation, civil rights defense, employment litigation, governmental entity defense, and adoptions.

Ms. Zahn has also been active in the Idaho State Bar, serving as former chair of the Young Lawyers Section, serving a five-year term on the Public Information Committee, and a three-year term on the I.O.L.T.A. Fund Committee. Ms. Zahn was a recipient of the Idaho State Bar’s Public Service Award in 2004.

Ms. Zahn is currently licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Idaho, the United States District Court for the District of Idaho and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Idaho State Bar and the American Bar Association.
