Randall L. Schmitz

Randall L. Schmitz joined the firm as a senior associate in May 2008. Mr. Schmitz received his B.S. degree in Business Economics at Willamette University in 1993. He received his J.D. degree from Willamette College of Law and his MBA from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management in 1997.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schmitz was an associate with the Boise office of Perkins Coie, LLP, where he focused on construction law, products liability, and commercial litigation. At Hall, Farley, Oberrecht & Blanton, P.A., Mr. Schmitz continues to focus on these practice areas with a special emphasis on construction law. He is involved in the negotiation, mediation, arbitration and trial of construction-related matters on behalf of all segments of the construction industry, including owners, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals. In his 11 years of legal experience, he has lectured on construction-related topics and successfully represented clients in trial and on appeal. In 2008 he was recognized by the Idaho State Bar for his pro bono contributions, including his successful representation of a pro bono case on appeal to the Ninth Circuit. In 2008, he was also selected to be a member of Who’s Who in Executive and Professionals.

Mr. Schmitz is admitted to the Idaho State Bar, the Oregon State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the districts of Idaho and Oregon, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the litigation section of the Idaho State Bar, the litigation and construction law sections of the American Bar Association, the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel, and the Idaho Associated General Contractors.
